How it works

The handover is the deliverable.

Your team can explain why a number moved without us in the room. That is the test we hold ourselves to, and the only one that matters.

Not whether performance went up. Whether you know why.
Before we start

This does not work for everyone.

It works when

  • +Someone on your side is numerate, curious and has run campaigns before, even if they have never owned the account.
  • +You want control rather than a different supplier. The endpoint has to be real to you, not a line in a proposal.
  • +There is enough runway to prove the model and teach it. Three months minimum before handover begins.
  • +The team being trained is between one and five people. Beyond that we cannot get anyone to competency without diluting it.

It does not work when

  • You need the number to move in six weeks. People say they want capability and mean they want revenue tomorrow. Both are reasonable, but this model cannot deliver the second one.
  • The person is starting from zero. We are not teaching someone to read a dashboard for the first time, we are teaching them to own it.
  • What you actually want is a permanent outsource with a different label, or an agency to carry the blame.
  • You need creative production at scale. We can teach your team to brief and judge creative. We cannot turn them into a studio.
The sequence

Twelve weeks, and the clock does not start at signature.

The engagement runs on milestones rather than a calendar. The handover period begins when the account is stable and performing, not on the day the contract is signed. Some clients compress it. Others need longer.

Phase 01Weighted to execution

We run it and build the baseline

The first half is weighted to execution. We build the accounts, the measurement and the reporting, and we get performance to a place worth handing over. Your people sit inside the work from the first week, but they are watching rather than running.

The gate

The handover clock starts here. Not before the account is stable and performing.

Phase 02Twelve weeks

They run it while we are still here

The second half shifts to shadowing and supervised management. Your team takes decisions with us in the room, so anything that breaks breaks while we can still fix it together. We do not run execution and training at full intensity at the same time, because that is how both fail.

Phase 03Handover

Our access is revoked

Every account was opened in your name on day one, so there is nothing to transfer. We held admin access for the engagement and at handover it is removed. That part is not negotiable, and it is the moment the arrangement actually ends.

Phase 04Thirty days

Support, not management

For thirty days after handover your team runs it and we answer questions. If performance moves because a platform changed or the season turned, that is expected and we flag it during training. Then it stops. The door is closed, but it is not locked: if something changes in a year and you want a half day of our time, you can ask. Most do not, and we do not chase it.

What you keep

Everything was yours the whole time.

01
The accounts and the billing
Set up in your name from day one. Your MCC, your billing, your data. We never held the keys, so there is nothing to hand across at the end.
02
A playbook in plain English
Written to be read by your team rather than to impress another agency. No jargon, and no sections that only make sense if we explain them.
03
Channel runbooks
One per channel we ran. What the setup is, why it is built that way, and what to do when the numbers move in either direction.
04
A measurement framework with the logic shown
The numbers, and the reasoning behind why those are the ones you watch. The reasoning is the part that usually leaves with the agency.
05
Recorded walkthroughs of every live campaign
Saved to your own storage, not ours. If we disappeared tomorrow they would still be there.
06
Your existing stack, unchanged
We work in your accounts, your CRM, your analytics. We may point out a gap, but we do not build dependencies on proprietary systems or our own licences.
What we say no to

Each of these costs us money.

That is the point. A model built on leaving only holds if the refusals are real, so these are the ones we have actually turned down work over.

01

We will not convert you to a retainer

Clients ask. We say no. The model only works if the endpoint is real, and if you are not serious about owning the capability then we are not the right firm. This filters the pipeline heavily.

Cost to us: recurring revenue
02

We will not guarantee a number

Performance depends on product, pricing, competitive pressure and creative, most of which sits outside our control. We guarantee process, transparency and transfer of capability. Anyone guaranteeing the number is guessing.

Cost to us: easier sales conversations
03

We pause if the person leaves

We train a person, not a seat. If your trainee moves on mid-engagement we stop, identify the replacement and adjust the timeline. It has happened twice, and both times the replacement caught up faster because the documentation already existed.

Cost to us: the original timeline
04

We decline the wrong fit on the first call

Some enquiries want a permanent outsource with a different label, or somewhere to put the blame. We can usually tell within one conversation, and we say so rather than taking the work and hoping it resolves itself.

Cost to us: signed engagements
Detail

The questions that come up on the call.

01How is it priced?

Per engagement, scoped to channels and complexity. A single-channel paid search build with handover is a different shape to a multi-channel strategy, execution and measurement build. We scope it, fix the price, and that is what you pay. No hourly billing, and no conversation that starts with "it took longer than expected." The pricing is deliberately front-loaded, so our margin sits in delivery rather than in keeping you subscribed.

02Which channels can you actually hand over?

Paid search, paid social, SEO, content, and marketing measurement and reporting. Not creative production at scale. We can teach your team to brief and judge creative work, but turning them into a production studio needs different skills and different infrastructure, and pretending otherwise would waste your money.

03What does training built around the person mean in practice?

There is no standard course. A marketing exec who has never opened GA4 needs something different from a head of growth arguing about attribution. We spend the first two weeks working out where each person actually is, then build around the gaps rather than delivering a curriculum that assumes everyone starts in the same place.

04What if performance drops after you leave?

During the thirty-day window we answer questions and help you read what happened. Some movement is expected: platforms change and seasons turn, and we cover both during training so they are not a surprise. If it drops because the process stopped being followed, we will tell you that plainly. We would rather say it in the sales conversation than discover it afterwards.

05What is the smallest and largest engagement you take?

The smallest is a single channel in a single market, with three months before handover begins. Anything shorter does not give enough runway to prove the model and teach it properly. The largest we have run is multi-channel and multi-market with three to five people in training. The limit is not spend or channel count. It is how many people we can get to genuine competency at once.

06Why should we believe you will actually leave?

Because the case studies end with us gone rather than with an ongoing relationship. Because the pricing is front-loaded, so staying longer does not make us more money. And because the discipline of having to leave makes the work better while we are there. An agency that knows it will be judged on whether you can run it alone builds differently from one that expects to still be here next year.

Find out if it fits.

Thirty minutes, no pitch deck. We will tell you on the call whether this model suits your situation. If it does not, we will tell you what kind of agency or hire would, which is worth the half hour on its own.
